In compensation there are a lot of strategic distinctions that need to be considered to arrive at equitable offers of compensation that attract, motivate and retain key employees. During this session we will explore how understanding the strategic distinctions of jobs may affect consideration of what constitutes compensation that is commensurate with the job and the environment of the job.
Learning Objectives
- To interpret basic compensation information and what it says about the labor market.
- To apply compensation information to support business strategy and HR strategy.
- To be able to enter and interact into a dialog with compensation professionals to evaluate unique positions and strategies.
Presented by Stephen Matthaey (CCP, PHR, SHRM-CP, SMC, MOS) who has a degree in Mathematics and extensive graduate work in Statistics. He has multiple certifications in Human Resources, Compensation, and IT, and currently is Vice President of Compensation for Investors Bank. Stephen is a former chapter President and sits on the Board of the New Jersey Compensation Association. We are proud to have him as our speaker.
